Quest · The Portal Build
Sites that look great, feel smooth and quietly do their real job: turning visitors into customers.
Social Saga is a full-service digital agency that can handle your website design and development under one roof. We make business websites, landing pages and content-led sites that load quickly on a phone, are built for Google and AI search from the first line of code, and turn visitors into enquiries. We write the words alongside the design, wire up tracking and lead forms, and can set the site up so your team edits text without touching code.

A website is the one place online where a brand controls everything a visitor sees, and no one else's ad sits beside it. It is also where most marketing ends up: the ad, the post, the search result and the WhatsApp forward all send people to it, and it either finishes the job or loses the customer. We design, write and build websites in-house.
| Type | What it is for | What it usually includes |
|---|---|---|
| Business website | Explaining what you do and turning visitors into enquiries | Home, services, work or products, about, contact, a blog or guides |
| Landing page | One campaign, one offer, one action | A headline that repeats the ad's promise, proof, the form or the button |
| Content-led site | Being found for the questions customers ask | Guides, articles, tools and an editing system the team can use |
| Microsite | A launch, an event or a campaign with an end date | A few fast pages, built to be retired cleanly |
Every one of them starts the same way: what the site has to make a visitor do, and what that visitor needs to see before they will do it.
Most visitors arrive on a phone, often on mobile data, and Google ranks the mobile version of your site. Its own documentation says it uses the mobile version of a site's content for indexing and ranking.
Google measures how a page feels to real visitors with three Core Web Vitals. A page passes when, for at least three visits in four, the main content appears within 2.5 seconds, the page responds to a tap within 200 milliseconds, and the layout shifts no more than 0.1. The responsiveness measure, Interaction to Next Paint, replaced First Input Delay in March 2024, and it mostly comes down to how much script a page runs.
Our own site is the test case. After our September 2026 rebuild its mobile performance score in lab tests went from 70 to 96. The work was mostly plumbing: analytics deferred until the page has loaded, fonts hosted on our own server, scripts that wait until the first screen has painted, and images in modern formats. Our team page now shows all twenty-four team pictures in 252 KB.
A site built without search in mind often has to be partly rebuilt once someone notices it cannot be found. So the basics go in from the first page we build: one clear topic per page, titles and descriptions written for the results page, headings in a sensible order, clean addresses, fast pages, internal links that make sense to a person, and a sitemap that tells search engines what changed and when.
Structured data comes with it, describing the business, its address and phone, its services and its articles to search engines. Google is clear that structured data does not guarantee any special result and must match what visitors can see on the page, so we keep it honest and generated from the same content the page shows. Our own site goes a step further and refuses to publish if its structured data and its visible address or phone number ever disagree.
AI search runs on the same foundations. Google says there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, and its guide to generative AI features says Google Search ignores llms.txt files, though other AI tools may read them. Pages that answer a question clearly near the top, carry specifics and stay up to date are the ones that get cited, which we cover in our guide to answer engine optimisation. When a site needs ongoing work on rankings, that is our SEO service.
A website designed around placeholder text gets the words squeezed into boxes that were drawn before anyone knew what they needed to say. We write the copy alongside the design: what each page has to say, in what order, in the brand's voice, with the questions customers actually ask answered on the page. The design then makes those words easy to read and hard to ignore.
In our experience, launches slip when the content is late, so we write it with you from the first week.
A form that does not arrive is worse than no form, because the visitor thinks they have contacted you. Every form we build is tested end to end, sends a copy of the enquiry where your team will see it, and records where the lead came from, so marketing can be judged on enquiries.
Forms collect personal data, so they fall under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Under section 6, consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, with a clear affirmative action, and withdrawing it must be as easy as giving it. The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025, and the consent and notice duties apply from about May 2027. Penalties under the Act reach ₹250 crore for failing to protect personal data. We build forms with a plain-language notice, an unticked consent box where one is needed, and a privacy policy that describes what the site really does. On our own site, the build checks the privacy policy against the code and refuses to publish if they disagree.
The current accessibility standard is WCAG 2.2, published by the W3C in October 2023. In India, section 46 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 extends accessibility duties to private service providers, and the rules for digital accessibility are still being drafted. Whatever the law ends up requiring, accessibility helps every visitor: readable contrast, text descriptions on images, forms that work with a keyboard and a screen reader, and animation that switches off for people who ask their phone to reduce motion. We build all of those in as standard.
Nobody should have to email a developer to change a phone number. We can set up a content management system so your team edits the words, images and listings in a browser, while the design and the code stay protected. On our own site the team publishes through an editing panel, and if an edit fails the build checks it is simply not published, so the last good version stays live.
Whoever builds your site, these should be in your company's name, with the agency given access:
If a developer will not hand any of these over, find out why before the project starts.
We quote against the brief, because a five-page site for a clinic and a content site with a hundred guides and an online tool are different projects. The things that move the price are the number of page types, how much writing is needed, integrations such as bookings or payments, and whether the site needs an editing system. Many of our website clients pair the build with SEO or performance marketing, so the site starts earning visitors once it is live. GST at 18% applies to agency fees. Send the brief and the sites you like, and we will tell you what it takes.
There is no fixed price: Social Saga quotes each website against the brief, and the price turns on the number of page types, how much copy has to be written, the features involved (bookings, payments, integrations) and whether the team needs an editing system. GST at 18% applies to the fee. Hosting, domain and any paid plugins or tools are separate running costs.
A focused business website or landing page usually takes a matter of weeks, and a larger content site takes longer. Launches usually slip because the content is late, so we write the copy alongside the design from the first week.
They are Google's three measures of how a page feels to real visitors: how quickly the main content appears (good is 2.5 seconds or less), how quickly the page responds to a tap or click (200 milliseconds or less) and how much the layout jumps around (a score of 0.1 or less), each measured across real visits.
Not on its own, and nobody can promise a particular ranking: Google itself says no one can guarantee a number one ranking. A well-built site removes the technical obstacles and gives every page a clear topic; ranking then depends on content, links, reviews and reputation, which is ongoing SEO work.
Yes. We can set up a content management system so your team edits text, images and listings in a browser without touching code, while the design stays consistent.
You should. The domain, the hosting account, the code repository, the analytics and the design files should all be in your company's name, with the agency given access. Agree that in writing before the project starts, whoever builds the site.
Yes, if it collects personal data through forms, bookings or accounts. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires clear, specific consent and an easy way to withdraw it, and the DPDP Rules notified in November 2025 bring the consent and notice duties into force in about May 2027. Building compliant forms now avoids rebuilding them later.
