Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains what information Social Saga ("we", "us") handles when you visit this website or write to us, and the choices you have. Social Saga is a digital marketing agency based in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and is a BizExpress venture. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information you send us

This website has no accounts, no sign-ups and no payment systems.

When you complete the story-style brief on our contact page, the details you enter are sent to us by the page itself: your name, your brand or company name, your email address, your phone number including the country code, and the four choices you make about your brand, your obstacle, the work you are after and your budget. The date and time are recorded with them.

Those details are saved to a private spreadsheet inside our own Google account and emailed to our team so that somebody can reply to you. If that fails for any reason — you are offline, or the service is down — the page falls back to opening your own email app with the same brief already written, and nothing reaches us until you press send yourself.

If you email us directly instead of using the form, we receive only what you choose to write.

3. Information stored on your device

This site stores a few small preferences in your own browser: your day or night theme choice, your best score in the reflex game, a note that you dismissed a festival greeting, and a short-lived flag that makes page transitions smooth. These preferences stay on your device, are never transmitted to us, and disappear if you clear your browser data.

The measurement tools described in the next section also place cookies, and those work differently: they are read by Google and by Microsoft, not only by your own browser. We do not sell what those cookies record and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.

4. Technical information and measurement

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These logs help keep the site secure and functioning. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the standard technical request your browser makes when fetching a font.

We run two measurement tools on every page of this site, because we would rather fix the parts of it that confuse people than guess.

Google Tag Manager is a container: it loads the measurement tags we choose to configure for the site. Which tags it loads can change over time, and anything loaded through it is covered by this policy and by Google's privacy policy.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through the site — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages you go between — and turns it into session replays and heatmaps. What you type into form fields and dropdown menus is masked by Clarity and never reaches us or Microsoft in readable form, and numbers and email addresses appearing in ordinary page text are masked as well, so the contents of your enquiry are not captured this way. Clarity is operated by Microsoft and is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Both tools can be blocked by the tracking-protection settings built into most browsers and by standard privacy extensions. The site works normally without them. Links to third-party services, such as our portfolio deck on Google Drive and our social media profiles, are governed by those services' own privacy policies.

5. How we use information

We use the information you send us for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to plan and deliver the work you ask for. We do not sell personal data, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

6. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that make our work possible, such as our email and hosting providers, and only to the extent needed. Enquiries sent through the contact form are stored in Google Sheets and delivered by Gmail, both inside our own Google account. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Retention

We keep enquiries and correspondence, including the record of anything sent through the contact form, for as long as it is needed to handle your enquiry or engagement, and for any period required by law, after which it can be deleted on request.

8. Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@socialsaga.in and we will respond as required by applicable law. This address also serves as our grievance contact under Indian law.

9. Children

This website is intended for brands and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, this page will change with them, and the "Last updated" date above will tell you when. Meaningful changes will be visible here before they take effect.
